Weezer’s performance at Coachella this weekend could well be in doubt after bassist Scott Shriner’s wife Jillian Shriner was shot by police and reportedly faces a charge for attempted murder.
Jillian was absentee booked by police after allegedly pointing a gun at officers and ignoring orders to put it down.
The shooting occurred in the midst of a wild hit-and-run through the streets of Los Angeles, US, as police assistance was requested by the California Highway Patrol to help track down three suspects alleged to have fled the scene.
While the 51-year-old wasn’t involved in the car incident, one of the reported suspects fled the scene and ended up on the residential street where Jillian lives, police say.
