A woman who visited the edge of hell after she ‘died and came back to life’ revealed what she saw when she looked down.
Charlotte Holmes, a resident of Wichita, Kansas, reported that she encountered both heavenly and hellish experiences after being declared clinically dead for a duration of 11 minutes before returning to life.

In 2019, Holmes attended a routine check-up with her cardiologist when her blood pressure unexpectedly surged.
Medical personnel suspected she might be experiencing either a stroke or a heart attack, prompting her immediate transfer to the hospital where she was placed on an intravenous drip.

As the healthcare team worked swiftly to assist her, Holmes began to describe the sight and fragrance of exquisite flowers to her husband, Danny, who remained by her side during the crisis.
Danny felt that she was not fully present in reality at that moment, as he scanned the room and noticed the absence of any flowers.
In an interview with The 700 Club, Holmes recounts: “I looked around at the beauty. I could see the trees, I could see the grass. And everything was swaying with the music because everything in heaven worships God.”
At this point, Holmes’ heart had stopped for a total of 11 minutes and she was declared clinically dead.

The grandmother expressed her inability to articulate the nature of heaven, stating, “It transcends anything we could possibly conceive by a millionfold.”
Holmes recounted that as angels guided her into heaven, she experienced only joy, devoid of any fear. It was then that she began to recognize the faces of her deceased relatives.
She remarked, “I see my mother, I see my father, I see my sister, I see my family members standing behind them.”
She noted that none of her departed relatives appeared ill or aged; rather, they looked to be in their thirties.
Behind her parents, there was a ‘light so brilliant’ that she could not gaze upon it, yet she believed it to be the heavenly father.
Holmes also recalled the sight of a toddler. Initially uncertain of the child’s identity, she was informed by the heavenly father that it was her child, whom she had tragically lost.
“I lost that child,” she explained. “I was five-and-a-half months pregnant. I can remember them holding the baby up and saying, Charlotte, it’s a boy. Then he was gone.
Upon witnessing the toddler, I exclaimed, “God, how can this be?” To which He replied, “They continue to grow in heaven.”
At that moment, God directed her attention to reveal something conclusive; He intended to show her “the brink of hell.”

The Journal of Palliative Medicine says: “End-of-life dreams and visions can occur in wakeful or sleep states and typically manifest with clear consciousness. A common element reported by bereaved family members and clinical staff is the personal or spiritual solace provided by the dreams/visions for patients at the end of life.
Clinicians have observed that while hallucinations often induce feelings of anxiety or confusion, ELDVs tend to foster a sense of tranquility, comfort, and awe. Furthermore, ELDVs assist patients in coming to terms with past experiences and embracing the concept of death.
What Holmes subsequently described was quite distressing.
“I looked down, and the odor, reminiscent of decaying flesh, filled the air, accompanied by screams,” she recalled. “After experiencing the beauty of heaven, the stark contrast of witnessing hell is nearly intolerable.”
“And He states, ‘I reveal this to you to convey that if some do not alter their behavior, this will be their dwelling place.’”

At that moment, Holmes experienced a revival. She expressed that it felt as though her spirit was being reconnected with her physical form.
Following this event, the grandmother made a complete recovery and was discharged from the hospital after a two-week period.
Subsequently, she began to share her experience through public engagements, with the intention of instilling hope in others regarding the existence of an afterlife.
“People require hope,” Holmes remarked. “They seek reassurance that there is something beyond this life, that everything is ultimately alright. Heaven surpasses anything one can envision.
“I can look you directly in the eye and affirm with certainty, heaven is indeed real.”
According to The Ozark County Times, Charlotte Holmes passed away on November 28 last year at the age of 72 after suffering a heart attack.
