Rob Burrow, the cherished Leeds Rhinos and England rugby player, passed away on June 2 at the age of 41 after a courageous fight against motor neurone disease (MND). A large crowd gathered to pay their respects, with supporters donning Leeds Rhinos jerseys that transformed the streets into a sea of blue. A civil reception held at Leeds Civic Hall celebrated his life, attended by family, teammates, and local dignitaries. The funeral procession made a stop at the Featherstone Lions’ ground, marking the beginning of his rugby career.

In an emotional farewell, Burrow imparted the message, “Don’t waste a moment of life.” His wife, Lindsey, described him as a man who “made the world a better place.”
